Kelly Rutherford
American actress Kelly Rutherford is a long-established screen presence in the United States, with plenty of great credits to her name. She’s best known for playing Stephanie ‘Sam’ Whitmore in the hit daytime soap opera Generations on NBC, besides her magnetic portrayal of Megan Lewis in the Fox primetime show Melrose Place. Next to this she has played a key part in the cast of Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2012, before starring in Freeform’s The Perfectionists and The CW’s Dynasty.
This Kentucky-born actress started out in daytime soap operas, taking on increasingly large roles throughout her career. She graduated to the big screen with a part in Scream 3 in 2000, and from 2003 to 2004 she starred in the ABC drama The Matrix as Special Agent Frankie Ellroy Kilmer. Recent film roles have included parts in The Stream and as Aunt Olivia in The Christmas Wedding Planner, while TV parts in Dynasty, Nightcap and A Love, Of Course continue to keep her in the spotlight. Rutherford has hosted an online talk show for The View, while acting as an advocate for several women’s and children’s charities including StepUp Women’s Network and Healthy Child Healthy World. A hugely popular TV actress and media presence with a wide range of characters in her repertoire, Kelly Rutherford is one of America’s finest talents.
