Kennedy Davenport

Reuben Asberry Jr., known professionally as Kennedy Davenport, was born on September 9, 1980. Prior to his career in drag, he served in the United States Navy. Davenport later pursued drag, quickly excelling in pageantry. In 2009, she secured the title of Miss Gay Black USofA. This marked the beginning of a successful pageant career, culminating in numerous titles such as Miss D’Elegance International 2013 and Miss Gay USofA 2019, showcasing her talent and stage presence. Her dance performances became a signature element of her drag artistry.

Davenport gained wider recognition after appearing on the eighth season of America’s Got Talent in 2013, where she was eliminated in the Vegas round. Her career then progressed significantly with her participation in RuPaul’s Drag Race. She competed in the seventh season in 2015, achieving a fourth-place finish. Following this, she returned for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 3 in 2018, where she was the runner-up. In 2020, she made a guest appearance as a Lip-Sync Assassin on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 5. Most recently, she competed in Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. the World Season 2 in 2024, placing third.

Beyond competitive drag, Davenport has expanded into music, releasing her debut single “Moving Up” in 2018, featuring rapper Dresia Dee. She also performed alongside Kelsea Ballerini at the 2023 CMT Music Awards, collaborating with other Drag Race alumni. This performance highlighted her role in supporting drag performers on a national stage. Throughout her career, Davenport has maintained a consistent public presence, demonstrating versatility across television, music, and live performances.
