New York-born, bad boy-playing actor Kevin Dillon is best
known for starring in the long-running HBO comedy series Entourage. Known for
portraying characters with a mean streak, he’s also taken on the role of
xenophobic psychopath and racist private Bunny in Platoon, starring along
Charlie Sheen, and appeared as John Densmore in the musical biopic on ‘60s rock
band The Doors.
Dillon received his first major role as the menacing bully
Rooney in Michael Dinner’s comedic drama Heaven Help Us. Gaining a wide-ranging
appeal for his early performances, Dillon received the lead role in the remake
of horror classic The Blob, starring along horror veteran Shawnee Smith. After
a steady stream of success throughout the 90s, Dillon was cast as Johnny Drama
in TV hit series Entourage, playing the comedic freeloading brother of movie
star Vincent Chase. Running for over seven years, his hilarious performance in
Entourage led to multiple Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy nominations and his
character soon became a fan favourite. Entourage’s success as a TV series led
to the eventual creation of the 2015 Entourage movie, which grossed over 49
million dollars worldwide.
While starring in Entourage, Kevin Dillon appeared in
blockbuster action movie Poseidon as Lucky Larry, and more recently accepted
the role of Rick Radden in action drama Dirt.
