Kim Dickens

Kimberly Jan Dickens, an American actress, made her film debut in 1995 with the comedy film “Palookaville,” where she played Vincent Gallo’s character’s girlfriend. Her early career also included lead roles in films such as “Truth or Consequences, N.M.” (1997), “Zero Effect” (1998), and “Mercury Rising” (1998). She further expanded her filmography with appearances in notable productions like “Great Expectations” (1998), “Hollow Man” (2000), “House of Sand and Fog” (2003), and “Thank You for Smoking” (2005). These initial roles laid the groundwork for a career marked by diverse character portrayals across various genres.

Dickens transitioned to more prominent roles in television during the 2000s, notably as Joanie Stubbs in the HBO Western series “Deadwood” from 2004 to 2006, a role for which she received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination in 2007. Her television work also includes recurring roles in popular series such as “Lost” (2006–2009) and “Friday Night Lights” (2008–2009), demonstrating her adaptability. In the 2010s, she continued to build her television presence with a regular role as chef Janette Desautel in HBO’s “Treme” (2010–2013) and a recurring role as Kate Baldwin in Netflix’s “House of Cards” (2015–2017).

A significant turning point in Dickens’ career came with her role as Detective Rhonda Boney in David Fincher’s psychological thriller “Gone Girl” (2014), which earned her critical recognition. Further expanding her reach, she joined the cast of the AMC horror drama series “Fear the Walking Dead” as Madison Clark, starring as a lead from 2015 to 2018, and later returning for its seventh and eighth seasons in 2022 and 2023. Her recent film work includes “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” (2016), “Lizzie” (2018), “Land” (2021), and “The Good Nurse” (2022), showcasing
