Krysten Anderson was born on May 16, 1997, in Currituck, North Carolina. Growing up, Anderson was immersed in the world of monster trucks, a consequence of being the daughter of Monster Jam Hall of Famer Dennis Anderson, the creator of Grave Digger. Her initial aspirations leaned towards graphic design, with an interest in customizing paint schemes for monster trucks, leading her to take college-level art courses during high school. This early exposure to the mechanics and aesthetics of the sport laid a foundational understanding, even as her path would eventually shift from design to driving.

Anderson formally began her driving career in 2017, joining Monster Jam after an audition prompted by the organization. This was a significant turning point, especially as her father was celebrating his 35th anniversary with Grave Digger and subsequently retired due to injury that same year. Krysten became the first Anderson sibling to drive Grave Digger, and notable for being the first full-time female driver for the highly recognized team. In her second event, she secured her first Freestyle competition victory, demonstrating immediate aptitude for the sport. Her career continued to progress with multiple performances on the Triple Threat Series, where she competed in Monster Jam trucks, ATVs, and Speedsters, honing her skills in various disciplines. In 2022, she made history as the first female Monster Jam series champion, winning the Arena Series Central championship and also receiving the Rising Star Award.

Beyond her championship success, Anderson holds a Guinness World Record. On June 25, 2020, in Bradenton, Florida, she achieved the highest ramp jump by a monster truck, reaching 33 ft 9.6 in (10.3 m), significantly surpassing the previous record. This achievement further solidified her standing in the sport, showcasing her technical skill and willingness to push boundaries. Anderson’s career is marked by a blend of family legacy and individual accomplishment, navigating the pressures of her family name while establishing her own identity and achievements within the male-dominated environment of monster truck racing.
