Lil Flash

Zachary Hergott, professionally known as Lil Flash, was born on January 27, 1996. Although born in Dallas, TX, he grew up in Chicago, Illinois. In 2010, his father set up a small studio in their home, where Flash began recording music and engineering for himself and his friends as a hobby. This initial activity allowed him to develop a distinctive sound and engineering skills.

His abilities quickly garnered attention from established artists such as Chief Keef, Capo, and Blood Money. Blood Money initially referred to him as “Lil Turn Up” due to his high energy in the studio. Chief Keef subsequently suggested the name change to Lil Flash. He became an integral part of the Glo Gang roster, recording and engineering for artists including Capo, Chief Keef, Ballout, and Fredo Santana. He secured his position within Glory Boyz Entertainment (GBE) by contributing to fan-favorite tracks, including singing on the hook for Capo’s “Meet My Mop” and collaborating on several popular tracks with Gucci Mane.

In 2015, Lil Flash released his first solo mixtape, “T’d Up in The Coup,” which was well-received by fans. This marked the beginning of a consistent release schedule throughout the latter half of the 2010s, including mixtapes such as “Art of Finesse,” “News Flash” (featuring “I Hate Hoes” with Gucci Mane), “GloDocks,” and “Capaholics,” along with the “Beach Bandits” trilogy. He continued to release projects in 2018, including “NaruGLO,” “Flash Card,” and the album “Flash Bandicoot.” After a period without official releases between 2019 and 2021, Lil Flash returned in 2021 with the EP “Capper of the Year” (with producer AB Dinero) and the mixtape “25 in the Raq.” He re-released a third version of “March Madness” in 2022. His album “Love is Evol” was released in February 2023, followed by “First Tape Out,” exclusively produced by CBMIX, in April 2023, following his release from prison in summer 2022.
