Brandon Weeden

Brandon Kyle Weeden was born on October 14, 1983, in Oklahoma City, OK. He attended Edmond Santa Fe High School, where he excelled in both football and baseball. In 2002, he was drafted as a pitcher by the New York Yankees in the second round of the Major League Baseball Draft. He played minor league baseball for several teams from 2002 to 2006, including the GCL Yankees, Staten Island Yankees, Columbus Catfish, and High Desert Mavericks. Injuries and performance issues led him to conclude his professional baseball career.

Weeden then transitioned to college football, enrolling at Oklahoma State University–Stillwater in 2007. After redshirting his first year, he became the starting quarterback for the Oklahoma State Cowboys in 2010. He achieved significant success, earning first-team All-Big 12 honors in 2010 and second-team All-Big 12 honors in 2011. He led the Cowboys to an 11–1 regular season in 2011 and a victory in the 2012 BCS Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, where he threw for 399 yards and four touchdowns.

In 2012, at 28 years old, Weeden was selected 22nd overall by the Cleveland Browns in the NFL Draft, becoming the oldest first-round selection in NFL history. He started for the Browns during his rookie season, throwing for 3,385 yards. He later played as a backup quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys (2014-2015), Houston Texans (2015-2016, 2018), and Tennessee Titans (2017). His NFL career included 35 games played, 6,462 passing yards, and 31 touchdowns. He concluded his NFL playing career in 2018.
