The incredible Patrick Dhane Lanshaw is better known by his stage name Lil Wyte. He is a rapper and a member of the rap collective Hypnotize Minds. As an entrepreneur, he is the owner of the independent label Wyte Music, and is the creator of his own strain of medical cannabis.
Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Lanshaw discovered his talent for rapping at a young age and started participating in freestyle battles at High School. He rapped with his friend Lil Black, who inspired him to use the stage name Lil Wyte and write songs instead of freestyling. He began concentrating on his music full-time and became part of a local rap group called the Shelby Forest Click. Their demo tape came to the attention of the Hip-Hop group Three 6 Mafia’s Juicy J and DJ Paul. Three 6 Mafia signed the rapper and later worked with him on his debut album, Doubt Me Know which was released in 2003. It became hugely popular, selling over 135k copies without promotion. He has gone on to release 15 more studio albums, including 2020’s Croptober (with Instigator), a number of mixtapes and singles, and has made countless guest appearances, working with fellow artists such as Three 6 Mafia, Frayser Boy, Chrome, Lil Scrappy, DJ Paul, JellyRoll, and Rittz.
Lil Wyte regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about his creative life around music. He is available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform. He also has a dedicated YouTube channel, Lil Wyte, and an official merchandise website, wytestore.com.
