Lord Morpheous, also known as Stefanos, is a Canadian sex educator, author, and photographer currently based in New York. Born on February 11, 1969, in Burlington, Canada, he obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography from Concordia University, along with a B.Ed and an Honours BA in Visual Art with a Minor in English, and a Degree in Broadcasting. His academic background in both visual arts and education laid the foundation for his interdisciplinary approach to sexual education, blending artistic expression with a focus on responsible and informed practice within the BDSM community.
Throughout his career, Lord Morpheous has established himself as a prominent figure in the field of BDSM education and advocacy. He has authored several books, including “How to Be Kinky: A Beginner’s Guide to BDSM” (2008), “How to Be Kinkier: More Adventures in Adult Playtime” (2012), and “Bondage Basics: Naughty Knots and Risque Restraints You Need to Know” (2015). His written works provide detailed guidance on safe and ethical BDSM practices, emphasizing consent, communication, and personal safety. His archives are housed in significant collections, including the Sexual Representation Collection at the University of Toronto’s Mark S.
