Marcus Wissing

Having served as Property Master for the critically acclaimed Quo Vadis, Aida? (2020), Marcus Wissing has cultivated a distinguished career in film art direction and production design spanning over two decades. His foundational contributions began as Prop Buyer for Rembrandt (1999) and Set Dresser for Boat Trip (2002), establishing his keen eye for visual execution and set development. Wissing quickly advanced, taking on roles such as Property Master for Stratosphere Girl (2004) and Set Dresser for Besser als Schule (2004) and Dear Wendy (2005), demonstrating consistent involvement in diverse cinematic styles and production scales.

Expanding his creative footprint, Wissing also penned the script for ‘Big & Beautiful’ in 2015. A pivotal career achievement came in 2016 when he served as Art Director for Paradise, showcasing his broader artistic oversight and capacity for comprehensive visual leadership. He continued to take on specialized roles such as Property Master (Outdoor) for Wendy 2 – Freundschaft für immer (2018). Wissing further demonstrated his versatility as a Concept Artist for Invisible Sue (2018), contributing to the visual conceptualization of the project.

His consistent involvement in the stylistic and visual aspects of filmmaking culminated most recently in his role as Property Master for Quo Vadis, Aida?
