Maria-Lorena Manolica was born on August 7, 1995. She competes in Canoe Sprint events, specializing in the K-1 200m category. Manolica represents the Azerbaijan Canoe & Rowing Federation on the international stage. Her career highlights include participation in significant global events such as the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships.
In 2018, Manolica participated in the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Montemor-o-Velho, Portugal. She competed in the Women’s K-1 200 metres event. During the heats, she finished with a time of 45.026 seconds, advancing to the semifinals. In Semifinal 2, she recorded a time of 41.685 seconds, which qualified her for Final B. In Final B, she achieved a time of 41.601 seconds, placing second in that specific final and 11th overall in the competition.
Manolica continued her involvement in top-tier competitions, participating in the 2019 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships. In the Women’s 200m K1 SENIOR heats, she posted a time of 41.497 seconds. She advanced to Semifinal 1, where she recorded a time of 41.093 seconds. Her performance in the semifinals led her to compete in Final C, where she finished with a time of 44.328 seconds.
