Michael Cera

Michael Cera is an accomplished actor, comedian, and musician known for his distinctive portrayal of often awkward and endearing characters in critically acclaimed films and television series. After securing his first significant part as Larrabe Hicks in the children’s show ‘I Was a Sixth Grade Alien’ (1999–2001), Michael Cera quickly made his theatrical film debut in ‘Frequency’ (2000), followed by his first leading film role in ‘Ultimate G’s: Zac’s Flying Dream’ (2000). He lent his voice to animated series as Josh Spitz in ‘Braceface’ (2001–2004) and Brother Bear in ‘The Berenstain Bears’ (2003), while also appearing as young Chuck Barris in ‘Confessions of a Dangerous Mind’ (2002). Cera achieved widespread recognition for his pivotal role as George Michael Bluth in the critically acclaimed comedy series ‘Arrested Development,’ which originally ran from 2003 to 2006.

His Broadway performance in ‘Lobby Hero’ (2018) earned him a Tony Award nomination, followed by a starring role in ‘The Waverly Gallery’ on Broadway in 2019, while his television presence continued with ‘Life & Beth’ (2022–2024). In 2023, Cera starred as Allan in the critically acclaimed and commercially successful film ‘Barbie,’ and appeared in ‘Dream Scenario’ and ‘The Adults.’ He also reprised his voice role as Scott Pilgrim in the animated series ‘Scott Pilgrim Takes Off’ (2023).
