United Kingdom Michelle Gulyás is a Hungarian modern pentathlete and Olympic gold medalist who also serves as a criminal detective for the Hungarian Police.

Michelle Gulyás was born on October 24, 2000, in London, United Kingdom. She represents Hungary in modern pentathlon and has shown a consistent trajectory of performance throughout her career. Gulyás has earned recognition in various international competitions, demonstrating proficiency across the diverse disciplines of modern pentathlon. She has competed in multiple World Cups, World Championships, and the Olympic Games.
Her career highlights include winning a silver medal in the mixed relay at the 2018 World Modern Pentathlon Championships in Mexico City. In 2021, at the World Modern Pentathlon Championships in Cairo, she secured a bronze medal in the individual event and a silver medal in the team competition. The following year, she earned a silver medal in the women’s individual event at the 2022 World Modern Pentathlon Championships held in Alexandria, Egypt. Gulyás also obtained a bronze medal at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires.
A significant achievement in her career came at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, where she won the gold medal in the women’s individual event, setting a new world record with 1461 points. This victory marked Hungary’s first modern pentathlon gold medal since 2004. Beyond her athletic pursuits, Gulyás is engaged in public service as a criminal detective with the Hungarian Police.
