He quickly established himself as a dominant offensive force, earning his first MLB All-Star selection in 2004 and his inaugural Silver Slugger Award in 2005. Cabreras prolific hitting continued into the next decade, leading the American League in RBIs in 2010 and securing his first AL Batting Champion title in 2011. A landmark year in 2012 saw him hit his 300th career home run and achieve the coveted batting Triple Crown, leading the American League with a .330 batting average, 44 home runs, and 139 RBIs. This unparalleled feat earned him his first AL Most Valuable Player award, which he followed with a second consecutive AL MVP in 2013, batting a career-high .348.
Following his retirement, Cabrera remained with the Detroit Tigers organization as a Special Assistant to the President of Baseball Operations. In addition to his on-field achievements, he established The Miguel Cabrera Foundation in 2012, dedicated to supporting children’s initiatives.
