Mike Gamson commenced his career with diverse experiences, including running a surf lodge in Costa Rica after earning an undergraduate degree in Comparative Religions and Fine Arts from Amherst College. His professional trajectory then moved into corporate roles, culminating in over 20 years of experience in recruitment, sales, and product marketing across various sectors. Notably, he spent 11 years as part of the executive team at LinkedIn, where he was instrumental in leading a global sales team of over 5,000 individuals. During his tenure, this team generated more than $5 billion in revenue, leading up to LinkedIn’s $26 billion acquisition by Microsoft.
Following his significant period at LinkedIn, Gamson transitioned to Relativity, a legal technology company. He initially joined Relativity’s advisory board in 2017, which provided an opportunity to understand the company’s operations and team. In 2019, he assumed the role of CEO at Relativity, a company that was subsequently valued at $3.6 billion and backed by Silver Lake and ICONIQ. As CEO, he focused on accelerating growth and innovation, including the implementation of new subscription plans and securing FedRAMP authorization for RelativityOne Government in 2020 and a new subscription plan in 2022. He has also been involved in the launch of Rel Labs, an investment arm and innovation hub within Relativity.
More recently, Gamson served as the CEO of Evozyne, an AI biotechnology company dedicated to developing novel proteins for applications in therapeutics and sustainability. Currently, he is a co-founder and managing partner at Permanent Capital Partners. Beyond his corporate endeavors, Gamson is recognized for his advisory roles, having worked with over 100 companies as an angel investor.
