Mo Mandel

Mo Mandel, a native of Northern California, holds a degree in creative writing, which has underpinned his extensive career in the entertainment industry. He has developed and contributed to numerous television projects, ranging from long-running series to short-form shows, showcasing his skills in both writing and production. His early career saw him gaining national attention by winning Comedy Central’s “Open Mic Fight,” establishing his presence in the stand-up comedy circuit. Mandel has since appeared in multiple television shows and films, balancing his varied professional commitments with an active family life.

Mandel’s production credits include serving as an executive producer for truTV’s “Comedy Knockout” from 2016 to 2018, where he was involved in creating and writing over 80 episodes. Additionally, he was a co-executive producer for “Man Up” in 2018 and a consulting producer for “Barely Famous” from 2015 to 2016. As a writer, he has contributed to “Man Up” (2018) and “Comedy Central Presents” (2010), and also wrote his TV special “Mo Mandel: Negative Reinforcement” in 2016. His acting roles span various popular series, including “Curb Your Enthusiasm” (2024), “Nobody Wants This” (2024), “2 Broke Girls” (2017), “Free Agents” (2011-2012), and “Love Bites” (2011), among others.

Beyond his work in television and film, Mandel maintains a presence in stand-up comedy, performing regularly in Los Angeles at venues like The Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory, and on the East Coast at The Comedy Cellar. He is also involved in commercial writing, creating content for brands such as NO BULL, JUNKLESS, and PUBLIC-REC. He has a new stand-up special titled “Trying To Make It” and continues to develop new projects, demonstrating his consistent engagement across different facets of the entertainment world.
