Monica Rial is a famous American voice actress and anime dubber who is frequently called upon to voice the English language adaptations of Japanese anime movies and television series, both of which are seeing a surge in popularity in the States. Throughout her storied career Rial has landed leading roles in anime shows such as Burst Angel, Nanaka 6/17, Speed Grapher, Karau: Phantom Memory in the noughties alone. From 2010 she took her voice acting to new heights after landing the role of heroine character Bulma in the remake of Dragon Ball Z entitled Dragon Ball Z Kai. She later voiced other strong female leads such as Tsubaki Nakatsukasa in Soul Eater and May Chang in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, both of which have enjoyed successful runs on Adult Swim.
After studying theater at both high school and college under the mentorship of industry greats such as Jose Quintero and Edward Albee, she soon went on to feature in an array of local commercial voice over roles. Having a knack for comedic characters, Rial has constructed a shining reputation for herself as one of the best in the game, lending her voice to over 400 different animated series across multiple well-known networks including Nicktoons, Cartoon Network, IFC and The CW. More recently Rial has dabbled in ADR script writing, assisting in the English dubs for shows such as D.N. Angel, Madlax and Gatchaman.
