Nicholas Masson

Nicholas Masson was born Nicholas James Masson on August 7, 1996, in Hudson, New Hampshire, and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He began his dance training at the age of three in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and continued his studies in Amherst, New Hampshire. At the age of ten, Masson made his professional stage debut in a national touring production of the Broadway musical “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” He continued to develop his skills in local and regional theatrical productions, graduating from Alvirne High School in 2014. Following high school, he pursued higher education at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, where he majored in dance.

Masson’s career progressed with his involvement in the first national tour of Disney Theatrical Productions’ “Newsies the Musical.” He performed in various roles during his two-year tenure with the production, including Bill, Davie, Crutchie, and Mush. His portrayal of Mush was notably featured in Disney’s filmed production of the stage musical, which was released to cinemas worldwide in 2017. He is also known for roles in “Second Chances” (2022) and “Juice Box Jig” (2019).

Beyond his performing work, Masson has also contributed to the performing arts as an educator. He has led numerous master classes and workshops, providing instruction in dance. He has also served on the dance faculty as a teaching artist at Broadway Connection in New York City, demonstrating his commitment to sharing his expertise with aspiring performers. His work as an actor, dancer, and teacher has established him in the entertainment industry.
