Olesya Yurivna Rulina, born on March 17, 1986, in Moscow, Russian SFSR, USSR, later immigrated to the United States at the age of eight, initially residing in Texas before settling in Utah. She completed her secondary education at West Jordan High School in 2005. Rulin began her acting career in 2001, making her small screen debut, which paved the way for numerous roles. Beyond her acting pursuits, she is a trained ballet dancer and possesses piano skills. Prior to committing to acting full-time, Rulin held positions as a certified nursing assistant and worked for retailers such as Victoria’s Secret and Nordstrom. Her commitment to education also saw her studying economics in Paris.
Rulin gained significant public recognition for her co-starring role as Kelsi Nielsen in all three installments of the ‘High School Musical’ franchise (2006, 2007, 2008). Her role expanded notably in ‘High School Musical 2’ and ‘High School Musical 3: Senior Year,’ where she performed several musical numbers, including a solo in ‘You Are the Music in Me’ and a duet with Lucas Grabeel.
