Patrick Dogue

Patrick Dogue was born on March 9, 1992, in Ludwigshafen, Germany. He developed an interest in modern pentathlon, a sport combining fencing, swimming, equestrian show jumping, pistol shooting, and cross country running. Dogue’s early career saw him competing in various international events. By 2013, he achieved a significant milestone by winning the German national title in modern pentathlon, a feat he repeated in 2015. These national successes established his position as a leading athlete in his home country.

Dogue continued to build on his early achievements, making his Olympic debut at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he secured a sixth-place finish. This performance underscored his capability to compete at the highest level of his sport. Following his Olympic participation, he earned a bronze medal in the men’s relay at the European Senior Championships in Minsk, Belarus, in 2017. He also achieved a silver medal in the Team event at the 2021 World Modern Pentathlon Championships in Cairo, cementing his consistent presence among the sport’s elite.

Dogue’s career progression includes multiple podium finishes and top placements in World Cups and Championships. He earned a gold medal in the Team-relay Men event at the UIPM 2019 Pentathlon World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
