The wonderful equestrian Georgina “Piggy” March (née French) is a horse rider who specialises in eventing. She is a World and European Champion, as well as a 2x CCI 5* Champion, having won at Badminton, and Burghley. She is also a 2x World Young Horse Champion.
Born and raised in Norfolk, French started riding at a young age. She began competing at small events and competitions around Europe, making her first championship level ride in 2001 at the Young Riders European Championships, winning a team Gold. The following year she took part in her first CCI 5* event at Burghley. She has also competed and won a number of CCI 3* and 4* events.
French represented Great Britain at the 2009 European Championships, winning Silver in individual eventing. She went on to win a further four European Championships medals, including taking Gold in team eventing in 2021. She took her first World Championships medal in 2018, winning Gold in team eventing.
March regularly connects with her legions of followers and fans through Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, posting pictures and comments about her life in the saddle. She also has a dedicated YouTube channel, Piggy March, and an official website, piggymarch.com.
