Ramazan Emeev

Ramazan Dadaevich Emeev, born on May 20, 1987, in Dylym, Dagestan, Soviet Union, began his athletic journey at age six with freestyle wrestling. His early training laid the foundation for a successful career in combat sports. Emeev further developed his skills by joining the Gorets MMA club in 2005. His dedication in these early years led to significant regional achievements, including winning the Dagestan national pankration championship in 2009 and securing a world combat sambo title. These early accomplishments demonstrated his potential in multiple martial arts disciplines.

Emeev’s professional mixed martial arts career, which began in 2009, saw him rise through the ranks. He established himself in M-1 Global, where he achieved a record of 9 wins and 1 loss, notably becoming a two-time M-1 Global Middleweight Champion. During this period, he secured victories against notable fighters such as Vyacheslav Vasilevsky, Mario Miranda, Luigi Fioravanti, and Maiquel Falcao, solidifying his reputation as a contender. His consistent performance and championship pedigree led to his signing with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on May 28, 2017. Emeev’s UFC debut was in October 2017.

During his tenure in the UFC, Emeev competed primarily in the welterweight division. He accumulated several victories, including unanimous decision wins over Sam Alvey (2017), Alberto Mina (2018), and Stefan Sekulić (2018). He also secured decision victories against Niklas Stolze (2020) and David Zawada (2021).
