Chris Crocker, also known by their current name Cara Cunningham, rose to prominence as an internet personality and recording artist, gaining global attention for their unique and impassioned online content. After gaining international fame in September 2007 with their viral video, ‘Leave Britney Alone!’, Cara Cunningham, then known as Chris Crocker, captivated global audiences and launched a multifaceted career across digital content, music, and film. The emotional monologue, which tearfully defended pop singer Britney Spears, quickly amassed over four million views within two days, generating hundreds of parodies and extensive discussions across major news outlets including CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and various late-night shows. This viral moment earned Cunningham a nomination for a YouTube Award in the Commentary category and led to a development deal with 44 Blue Productions for a reality television show titled ‘Chris Crocker’s 15 Minutes More’ in 2007.

Cunningham diversified their creative endeavors following their internet breakthrough, venturing into music and acting. They released their debut single, ‘Mind in the Gutter,’ in 2008, followed by the EP ‘The First Bite’ in 2011 and ‘Walls Down’ in 2013, all under the stage name Chris Cunningham-Crocker.
