Raphael Dias Belloli, known as Raphinha, was born on December 14, 1996, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Growing up in Restinga, a favela, Raphinha faced a challenging upbringing. He began his youth football career with Imbituba and later played for Avaí FC, making his senior debut at age 19. His early talent attracted attention, leading to a move to European football. His professional journey took him through Portuguese clubs Vitória de Guimarães and Sporting CP, then to French club Rennes, and English club Leeds United, before ultimately joining FC Barcelona in 2022.
Raphinha’s career progression has been marked by consistent development and notable achievements across various leagues. At Vitória de Guimarães from 2016 to 2018, he secured a starting position and was named the club’s Breakthrough Player of the Year in 2017. His time at Sporting CP (2018-2019) saw him contribute to winning the Taça de Portugal and Taça da Liga. During his spell with Rennes (2019-2020), he became one of the club’s most expensive signings and was instrumental in their qualification for the UEFA Champions League.
