Rodney Rush

Rodney Rush gained widespread recognition for his role as Christian Ortega, also known as Combo, in the television series “Breaking Bad” (2008–2010). His portrayal of Combo, initially an extra, was expanded by producers due to his calm acting approach. Combo became a key character in the series, playing an integral part in the development of the main plotlines and leaving a notable impression on both the cast and the audience.

Beyond his acting career, Rush is also a dedicated musician and producer. He established his own record label, Five Star Records, where he oversees various aspects of production including graphics, sound engineering, and marketing. While his musical focus is primarily hip-hop, Rush has experience working across different music genres. He views himself as an architect of creativity, consistently seeking new challenges within the entertainment industry.

In addition to his past work, Rush has continued to act in films such as “Bad Buddha” (2014) where he played Mr. Clifford and has upcoming projects. He is involved in “Lemon-Head!” (post-production), portraying the character Target, and “Cadillac Respect” (filming, 2026), where he is cast as Tommy Palomino. This short film, directed and written by Christopher Michale Dailey, focuses on the mental health of a mafia boss and his romantic relationships, providing Rush with an opportunity to showcase his dramatic acting skills.
