Rosamaria Montibeller is a famous Brazilian volleyball player who had the great honor of winning a silver medal with her nation at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. She was also part of the Brazil women’s national volleyball team which won a silver medal at the 2015 Pan-American Games. An insanely popular athlete with a Nike sponsorship and over a million followers on Instagram, Montibeller in one of the few volleyball players to reach bona fide celebrity status.
After displaying enormous athletic talent at a young age, she commenced her professional career at the top-flight Brazilian side São Caetano. A few years later she joined Minas Tênis Clube from 2015 to 2018, winning the 2018 South American Volleyball Club Championship with them. The following year she won silvers at the 2019 South American Volleyball Club Championship and the 2018/2019 Brazilian Superliga with Dentil Praia Clube. At the international level, Montibeller has had a career awash with accolades and victories, including gold at the 2017 World Grand Prix, South American Championship and Montreux Volley Masters, and silvers at the 2012 and 2022 FIVB Nations League tournaments. She was recognized in 208 during the South American Club Championship as the Best Outside Spiker.
A regular fixture in the Brazilian national team, Montibeller is one to watch over the coming years as she continues to improve her game and become of the most dominant players in the world.
