Unquestionably one of the greatest fighters of his generation, American professional boxer Roy Jones Jr has done it all in his long career. Even now he is still fighting, taking boughts in Russia – where he has become an official citizen – as well as all over the States. On top of his boxing career, Roy Jones Jr is also a fine actor and rapper and in demand sporting celebrity who is adored by millions all over the world. In addition, he trains fellow boxers and is a commentator on US TV networks. Over the course of his long career, he has held a number of different titles including in the middleweight, plus super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight divisions. Despite having started out his career down at light middleweight (which is at 154 lbs) he went on to win a heavyweight world title, and is the only man in the history of the sport to do so.
As an amateur, Roy was just as decorated and in the 1988 Olympics he won a silver medal before turning to the pro ranks.
