Ruka Hirano

Ruka Hirano is a professional snowboarder known for his achievements in halfpipe competitions, including Olympic appearances and World Cup titles. After securing a gold medal in the halfpipe event at the 2020 Winter Youth Olympics in Lausanne, Ruka Hirano went on to establish himself as a significant talent in professional snowboarding. His early proficiency was evident from his debut in the YONEX JUNIOR GLOW UP PROJECT around the age of ten, setting the foundation for a burgeoning career in the sport. This initial international success highlighted his potential and commitment, marking him as a rising force on the global stage.

Hirano continued his career progression by competing in a series of major global events. In 2021, at X Games Aspen XXV, he earned a bronze medal in the SuperPipe, a remarkable achievement for an 18-year-old rookie. The following year, he participated in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where he competed in the Men’s Snowboard Halfpipe event, securing a 12th place finish. His consistent high-level performance across various international competitions underscores his technical proficiency and ability to execute complex maneuvers, including the switch backside double cork 1080 and frontside double cork 1260, which he showcased early in his X Games career.

Looking ahead, Hirano is poised for continued success, including securing a silver medal at the FIS Snowboarding World Championships in 2025, further cementing his elite status in the sport.
