Sam Bettley

Sam Bettley, born and raised in York, North Yorkshire, England, became a significant figure in the rock music scene as the bassist for Asking Alexandria. He officially joined the band in January 2009, completing their best-known formation alongside Ben Bruce, Danny Worsnop, James Cassells, and Cameron Liddell. His arrival marked a turning point for the band as they prepared to record their debut album. With Bettley on bass, Asking Alexandria released “Stand Up and Scream” in September 2009. The album gained significant attention, charting in the US on the Top Heatseekers, Top Hard Rock Albums, and Top Independent Albums charts. This period saw the band extensively touring across the US and Europe, supporting acts such as Evergreen Terrace, Alesana, and Attack Attack!, and performing at festivals like The Bamboozle.
