United States Scammer Payback, known as Pierogi, is an American YouTuber and streamer who specializes in creating content about scam baiting, focusing on phone and Internet scams. He actively works to expose and disrupt fraudulent activities.
Scammer Payback partnered with AnyDesk, a remote desktop access software, to identify and ban over 2,000 login IDs used by scammers, disrupting their operations.
Scammer Payback (Pierogi) collaborated with Trilogy Media on a sting operation that assisted federal authorities in dismantling a $65 million multinational fraud ring. They posed as victims to expose scammers.
Pierogi, operating under the name Scammer Payback, launched his YouTube channel on May 15, 2019, following a career as a cybersecurity professional. His content features high-production scam-baiting videos where he assumes various personas using a voice changer to engage scammers. During these interactions, he applies his cybersecurity knowledge to infiltrate their computer networks, often deleting files and collecting information to expose the perpetrators. This approach has allowed him to interrupt numerous scams and facilitate the return of funds to victims, frequently revealing the scammers’ true identities and locations during his broadcasts.
A significant initiative in Pierogi’s career was the establishment of “The People’s Call Center” in 2022. This anti-scam call center, which has become a recurring annual project, brings together Pierogi and other scam baiters for dedicated sessions. Their objective is to monitor scam call centers, occupy scammers’ time, and prevent potential victims from being defrauded. Through this effort, his team collaborated with AnyDesk, a remote desktop access software provider, to disable over 2,000 AnyDesk login IDs used by scammers. These collective actions showcase his commitment to combating online fraud and raising public awareness.
Throughout his work, Pierogi has collaborated with other content creators, including Mark Rober, Trilogy Media, and Jim Browning. These collaborations have amplified his reach and impact in the anti-scam community. In 2023, 2024, and 2025, “The People’s Call Center” continued its operations, reinforcing its role as a sustained effort against scams. His YouTube channel currently has 8.42 million subscribers and over 1.2 billion views.
