Shuga Cain
Shuga Cain is the stage name of Jesus Martinez, the deliciously sweet drag artist, who is best known for her appearances on season eleven of the reality TV show RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Born and raised in California, Martinez was always interested in performing and the arts, and attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and DePaul University to study music. He began working in the corporate world following graduation but kept up his dreams of a broadway career. He eventually quit his day job to start performing drag full time in 2017 when he was 40-years-old, and quickly established himself as part of the New York City drag scene. In 2019 she was announced as being one of the contestants on season eleven of RuPaul’s Drag Race. She has gone on to tour and appear on numerous web shows, including Shuga in the Raw, Gimme Some Shuga, and Bootleg Opinions. She released her debut single, Sweet Love, in 2020.
Shuga Cain regularly connects with her legions of followers and fans through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about her glamorous life. She is available for that personalised shout-out through the Cameo platform. She also has a dedicated YouTube channel, Shuga Cain, and an official website, shugssweetshop.com.
