Multi-talented Soraya Azzabi is a Morrocan-Canadian actor, model, fashion entrepreneur, on-air TV personality and producer. As a model she travelled the world before becoming a host of District Mode and a TV host at Fashion TV in Montreal. In 2016 she launched Samo’ Films and directed and produced the documentary series Making It Against All Odds as well as other productions. She made her voice-acting debut in the computer animated family movie Arctic Dogs in 2019.
Born in Casablanca, Morocco, Azzabi grew up in luxury that ended abruptly when her family moved to Montreal, her adopted hometown. Growing up in a destitute, single family she turned to study to enable a better future for herself, but when she was approached by talent scouts to become a model she grabbed the opportunity with both hands. After signing for a modelling agency, her career took her to Barcelona followed by Milan where she lived for a while before returning to Canada.
Back in Canada she raised her profile as a reporter for District Montreal during Montreal Fashion Week in 2013 and also hosted various projects for The Scope magazine based in Quebec. The following year she was approached by a production company to work in different productions as a producer and supervisor, and in 2016 the model and actress used her rich experience in the entertainment world to open Samo’ Films.
