Stefania Constantini is a talented Italian curler from Cortina d’Ampezzo who currently skips the Italian National Women’s Curling Team. Despite her relative youth, Constantini is already one of the most successful curlers in the sport, having played in three World Championships, five European Championships and the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics. She fulfilled a life-long ambition in 2022 when she won a gold medal in the mixed doubles at the Winter Olympics held in Beijing.
Since making her international curling debut at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics, Constantini’s career has gone from strength to strength. She won a bronze medal at the European Curling Championships in 2017 and has spent the majority of seasons since then confidently skipping her own team. She rose to international fame during the mixed doubles tournament at the Olympics alongside Amos Mosaner, due to their effortless synergy, dazzling skills and team dynamics. Against an intimidating field of competition, the Italian duo finished the round robin with a perfect 9-0 record. Most recently, Constantini qualified for the 2022/23 Canadian Open.
One of the clear rising stars in curling and perhaps the best young Italian curler in the sport right now, Constantini has a lot she wishes to prove over the coming years. She aspires to continue performing at the highest levels of curling for as long as possible and is adamant to put in the work required to ensure that. It will be exciting to see how her career progresses.
