Steve Valentine

Steve Valentine has built a diverse career as an actor, director, writer, and award-winning magician. After establishing a versatile early career as a professional magician and taking his first professional role as Artful Dodger in ‘Oliver!’, Steve Valentine became a main cast member as Nigel Townsend in the NBC crime drama series Crossing Jordan. He appeared in 117 episodes across seven seasons, from 2001 to 2007, solidifying his presence in network television. Valentine built a substantial body of work in film and television.

His film credits include Mars Attacks! (1996), Avalon High (2010), and Teen Beach Movie (2013). On television, he starred as Derek Jupiter in the Disney XD sitcom I’m in the Band (2009-2011), and made guest appearances on series such as Will & Grace (1999), Dharma & Greg (2000), House M.D. (2007), Monk (2009), Psych (2013), Modern Family (2018), and NCIS: Los Angeles (2019).

Valentine also expanded his creative footprint as a director, helming episodes of I’m in the Band (2011), and as a writer for Crossing Jordan (2005).
