Steve Valentine

Born Stephen John Valentine in Bishopbriggs, Scotland, UK, Steve Valentine began his performing career at a young age, with his first role being Artful Dodger in “Oliver!”. His early career also included performing as a professional magician. Valentine later moved into television and film, building a substantial body of work spanning several decades. He is known for roles such as Nigel Townsend in the NBC crime drama series “Crossing Jordan,” where he was a main cast member for 117 episodes from 2001 to 2007.

Valentine’s acting credits include roles in films such as “Mars Attacks!” (1996), “Teen Beach Movie” (2013), and “Avalon High” (2010). In television, he has appeared in various shows including “Will & Grace” (1999), “Dharma & Greg” (2000), “House M.D.” (2007), “Monk” (2009), “Psych” (2013), “Modern Family” (2018), and “NCIS: Los Angeles” (2019). He also starred as Derek Jupiter in the Disney XD sitcom “I’m in the Band” from 2009 to 2011. More recently, he has lent his voice to animated projects and video games, notably as Harry Flynn in “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” and Alistair in the “Dragon Age” franchise.

Beyond his on-screen work, Valentine maintains a strong presence in the magic community. He is a multiple award-winner at the Magic Castle in Hollywood, receiving two Close-Up Magician of the Year awards, two Lecturer of the Year awards, and the Stage Magician of the Year award. In 2017, he founded “Magic On The Go,” a subscription-based platform for magic training. He has also directed episodes of “I’m in the Band” (2011) and written for “Crossing Jordan” (2005). Valentine continues to be active in various creative endeavors, including hosting the “Magicians Only” podcast and contributing to film and television production.
