Stevo the Madman launched his career as a professional footballer, making his first league appearance as a defender for Leyton Orient in November 2002. His football career included stints with Billericay Town (2003), Hornchurch (2003-2004), Redbridge F.C. (2004-2005), Enfield Town F.C. (2005-2007), Chelmsford City (2006), Newport County A.F.C.
(2008), and Boreham Wood F.C. (2008-2009). In 2009, he notably refused to continue playing for Newport County following a racially charged incident. Prior to his widespread social media fame, in the early 2000s, Stevo also worked as a record producer under the name Stevo, affiliated with the grime production crew The Beatcamp.
