Tara Michaela

Tara Michaela Jones aka Tara the Sex Educator is a queer black sex education advocate, writer, content creator, and public speaker. She is also the founder of the Youth Sexpert Program, a training program, launching in 2023, which aims to empower youths to gain understanding and expertise on sexual matters. Her work has been featured in the major likes of Buzz Feed and Marie Claire. She is on various social media platforms but is focused on growing her Instagram audience, which currently stands at more than 14,000 and counting.

Jones graduated from New York University in 2022 with a degree in Gender and Sexuality Studies. Since then she has been working as a social media manager for sexual wellness brands through Chelsea Leibow Communications. Her work focuses on the intersection of injustice and sexual interaction, particularly when it comes to racism and racist capitalism. She has been active on social media since 2015, documenting her sexual experiences with refreshing candour and intelligence, helping other queer black females to navigate their way through sexual spaces. She has penned columns on a wide number of sexual subjects for platforms including Well + Good, Salty, and Killing Kittens, to name just three.
