Tim Mahendran

Timothy Mahendran, known as Tim Mahendran, was born in Manchester, England. His early career development included training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, where he graduated with a BA in Musical Theatre in 2018. During his formative years, he also served as a Youth Ambassador for the National Youth Music Theatre in 2013, participating in productions such as “13 the Musical” at the Apollo Theatre and “Spring Awakening” at The Curve Leicester in 2016. He further honed his skills in “The Midnight Gang” at Chichester Festival Theatre and other National Youth Music Theatre projects.

Mahendran has established a professional presence in West End theatre, performing in several notable productions. He played Francois in the original West End production of “& Juliet,” which opened in 2021. Following this, he took on the role of Gomez in “The Time Traveller’s Wife” in 2023. In 2025, he joined the cast of “JUST FOR ONE DAY – The Live Aid Musical” as Harvey Goldsmith at the Shaftesbury Theatre. His television work includes regular roles such as Nelly in Channel 4’s comedy “The Horne Section” and an appearance in Channel 4’s “Stath Lets Flats.”

Beyond his stage and television roles, Mahendran has engaged in commercial and voiceover work. He was featured in a Jaguar XE commercial with Idris Elba in 2015 and provided voiceover artistry for “Go On Ollie” from 2014 to 2015. He also performed as a singer in Jason Robert Brown Live in Concert at the Royal Festival Hall in 2015. His career demonstrates a consistent progression across various performance mediums.
