Born in Greifswald, East Germany, Kroos was just 17 years old when he made his senior club career debut for Bayern Munich. After a loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen he returned to Bayern and helped the side win a UEFA Champions League title and two consecutive league titles. Top clubs around the world also noticed his incredible passing, vision, crossing, creativity and set-piece ability, and he joined Real Madrid in 2014 in a transfer deal worth €25 million.
Kroos has been acclaimed by both the media and legendary players as a footballer with all the necessary skills and qualities to be one of the best attacking and imposing midfielders, and his style of play has helped him achieve incredible success at Madrid. At the 2014 World Cup he made history as the first player born in East Germany to win the World Cup, and he was named German Footballer of the Year in 2018.
