Andrew Santino was born on October 16, 1983, in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in the River North neighborhood of Chicago, raised by a single mother in Section 8 housing. Santino graduated from Naperville North High School in 2002 and subsequently attended Arizona State University. His career in entertainment began in the mid-2000s, with his first acting credit in the 2008 film “Henry Poole Is Here”. He quickly established a presence in both film and television, building a reputation for his comedic talent and acting range. Over the years, Santino has taken on diverse roles, demonstrating his versatility as a performer.

Santino has achieved recognition for his work across various mediums. His notable television roles include playing Bill Hobbs in “I’m Dying Up Here” (2017-2018), where he portrayed a talented comedian with a challenging personality. He also gained significant visibility for his role as Mike in the comedy series “Dave” (2020-2023), where he played the protagonist’s roommate and manager for 30 episodes. In film, Santino has appeared in projects such as “The Disaster Artist” (2017), playing Scott Holmes, and “Game Over, Man!” (2018) as Officer Hank. His stand-up comedy career has also flourished, marked by specials like “Home Field Advantage” (2018) for Amazon Prime and “Cheeseburger” (2023) for Netflix.

In addition to his acting and stand-up, Santino has delved into podcasting, creating and co-hosting two popular shows. He produces and hosts “Whiskey Ginger,” where he interviews figures from the entertainment industry.
