Tony Bellew

Tony Bellew is a former professional boxer, recognized for holding the WBC cruiserweight title, and now an established boxing analyst and commentator. After securing three consecutive ABA heavyweight titles as an amateur from 2004 to 2006, Tony Bellew launched his professional boxing career in October 2007 with a 2nd-round TKO victory over Jamie Ambler. This powerful debut set the stage for an impressive undefeated streak that extended until 2011, establishing Bellew as a formidable presence in the light-heavyweight division and accumulating a formidable record of 12-0 by 2009. He went on to capture the vacant Commonwealth light-heavyweight title in March 2010, defeating Atoli Moore at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Bellew demonstrated significant career progression, successfully defending his Commonwealth title twice, first against Bob Ajisafe in September 2010, followed by a victory over Ovill McKenzie in December 2010. In July 2011, he added the vacant British light-heavyweight title to his accolades, again securing a win against Ovill McKenzie. While a bid for the WBO light-heavyweight title against Nathan Cleverly in October 2011 resulted in a majority decision loss, Bellew later avenged this defeat as a cruiserweight in November 2014. A pivotal moment came in November 2013 when he challenged Adonis Stevenson for the WBC light-heavyweight title, prompting his strategic move to the cruiserweight division.
