Tyree St. Louis has transitioned from a professional football career in the NFL and USFL to an MBA candidate focusing on product management in tech and fintech.
Tyree St. Louis was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the New England Patriots.
After spending a week on the Patriots practice squad, Tyree St. Louis was signed to the Indianapolis Colts practice squad on September 7.
Tyree St. Louis was signed by the Los Angeles Chargers on October 18 to their practice squad for the rest of the season. For the 2020 season, he was named in the initial 53-man roster and made his NFL debut in the opening weekend game. He also signed an exclusive-rights free agent tender with the Chargers on March 18, 2021.
Tyree St. Louis signed with the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League on May 9, 2022. He was a member of the USFL championship-winning team in 2022.
Tyree St. Louis, born on May 8, 1997, in Tampa, Florida, developed his football skills at IMG Academy, where he was recognized as a four-star recruit and a top offensive lineman prospect in Florida. He chose to play college football for the Miami Hurricanes, declining offers from other notable programs. During his time at Miami, St. Louis steadily progressed, seeing most of his freshman year action on special teams. By his sophomore year, he earned a starting position at right tackle for the final eight games of the season, a role he maintained for the remainder of his collegiate career, starting 26 consecutive games through his junior and senior seasons. His performance earned him Honorable Mention All-ACC honors in 2018. Over his college career, he contributed to offensive units that consistently produced high yardage totals, with notable performances including 550 total yards against Bethune-Cookman in 2017 and 568 yards against Duke in 2016.
Following his collegiate career, St. Louis entered the National Football League as an undrafted free agent in 2019. He initially signed with the New England Patriots, then moved to the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad before joining the Los Angeles Chargers’ practice squad later that year. In the 2020 NFL season, he made his professional debut with the Chargers, starting at right guard due to an injury to a teammate. He signed an exclusive-rights free agent tender with the Chargers in 2021 but was later waived due to injury. In 2022, St. Louis joined the Birmingham Stallions of the United States Football League (USFL), where he was part of the championship-winning team. He retired from professional football on March 27, 2023, and has since focused on pursuing an MBA with a specialization in product management, particularly within the technology and fintech sectors.
Throughout his athletic career, St. Louis demonstrated leadership qualities and a commitment to strategic planning. His experiences across college football and various professional leagues, including the NFL and USFL, provided him with a foundation in demanding environments. Currently, he is leveraging these experiences and acquiring new skills through his MBA program, aiming to apply his background in new capacities within the business world, specifically in product management.
