Vivian Bercovici

Vivian Bercovici is a legal expert and diplomat who served as Canada’s Ambassador to Israel, now a public speaker and consultant on international relations and technology. After being appointed Canada’s Ambassador to Israel by Prime Minister Stephen Harper in 2014, Vivian Bercovici concluded a distinguished 24-year career practicing law in Toronto. During her extensive legal tenure, she specialized in complex areas including media defense and financial regulatory work, while also representing Canada in negotiations with First Nations. She further served as a senior policy adviser in Ontario’s financial ministry for two years in the 1990s.

Bercovici earned her LLB from the University of Toronto in 1988 and contributed to academic discourse as an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law from 2012 to 2013. As Canada’s Ambassador to Israel from 2014 until June 2016, Bercovici established herself as a prominent commentator and leader on Israeli politics, foreign policy, and the regional business environment. Following her diplomatic service, she continued to reside in Israel, embarking on private business ventures and public speaking engagements with a focus on the Middle East, particularly Israel. After 2016, she notably worked for the Israeli intelligence firm Black Cube.
