Will Sasso

Will Sasso was born on May 24, 1975, in Ladner, British Columbia, Canada, to parents of Italian descent. He developed an interest in comedy early in life. By the age of fifteen, Sasso secured his first agent and began appearing in television and film roles. Before relocating to Los Angeles, he spent five seasons as Derek Wakaluk on the Canadian dramatic series “Madison” (1993), where he developed his acting and improvisational skills. This early work provided a foundation for his career in entertainment.

Sasso became widely recognized for his five-season tenure on FOX’s sketch comedy series “Mad TV” (1995-2002). During this period, he created characters such as “Paul Timberman” and performed impressions of public figures including Bill Clinton, Kenny Rogers, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steven Seagal, and Randy Newman. In 2002, he departed “Mad TV” to pursue other career opportunities. His film credits include over twenty-five feature films, such as “Beverly Hills Ninja” (1997), “Drop Dead Gorgeous” (1999), and “Best in Show” (2000). He also appeared in “Happy Gilmore” (1996), produced by Adam Sandler.

More recently, Sasso has continued to work in both film and television. He portrayed “Carl Monari” on the ABC sitcom “Less Than Perfect” (2002-2006). In film, he played Curly Howard in “The Three Stooges” (2012) and voiced Mr. Ellingboe in the animated Christmas film “Klaus” (2019). His recurring television roles include Jim McAllister on “Young Sheldon” (2022-2024), a role he is set to reprise in the spinoff series “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” (2024-present). Sasso also co-hosts the “Dudesy” podcast, which began in 2022, further expanding his presence in the digital media landscape.
