Yorkshire born actor William Gaunt has long been a regular face on British TV screens. He is an adaptable character and skilled actor who can fit with a wide range of roles and always leave his mark on audiences. As well as this he available for a range of after speaking dinner engagements, charity functions and hosting roles. William is married with a son and a daughter and as well as TV experience, has extensive stage experience, both as an actor and a theatre director, including a great success when taking up the role of Micheál Mac Liammóir, a character in Frank McGuinness’ Gates of Gold at the Finborough Theatre in London.
William attended University in Texas and then went on to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. After this he went on to work in a repertory theatre in Bath and spent a further year in the United States as well as having a small spell in the army. Minor roles then came for him in Z Cars and The Avengers before starring in moves like The Edgar Wallace Mysteries movies The Sinister Man and Solo for Sparrow as well as a role as a spy in The Champions. In the eighties he had a role in No Place Like Home and then guested in things like Doctor Who, Next of Kin and Without You on ITV. He also appeared in the Globe Theatre production of Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 1 and in 2015 has a spell in popular BBC soap opera Eastenders.
