Zoran Plohl became a World Amateur Latin Champion at the Singapore Open and a European Amateur Latin Champion in Marseille in 2011, achievements that solidified his standing in the DanceSport world. This success came after a distinguished competitive career spanning over two decades, highlighted by his partnership with Tatsiana Lahvinovich Galchun, which began in 2000. Prior to this, Plohl partnered with Natalija Banovic in 1997 and Gordana Grandosek from 1998 to 1999. With Galchun, he initially competed as an amateur in 10-Dance, Ballroom, and Latin divisions, consistently showcasing his talent while training under renowned instructors Alenka and Branko Bohak, and Latin specialist Barbara Ambroz.
