DJ Deeon Track Hottest Track In The World | News | MN2S

Legendary Chicago producer DJ Deeon’s ‘Freak Like Me (Lee Walker Remix)’ was Annie Mac’s hottest record in the world on Friday.

Annie Mac gave Lee Walker’s remix of the formidable ghetto house track the coveted title of hottest record in the world on Friday night. DJ Deeon first released the track in 1996 on Dance Mania. It was released on an EP along with the tracks ‘Spacktikus’, ‘Spacstrumental’, ‘Lite House’, ‘Da Dik Suk’ and ‘Dikstrumental’.

This is an exciting time for DJ Deeon fans in Europe. The veteran producer is making his UK debut in under a month’s time, playing a set as part of the Dance Mania Takeover at XOYO on March 11. The show will also see performances from Parris Mitchell, Harri & Domenic and DJ Deeon’s fellow Chicago house pioneer DJ Funk.

Though DJ Deeon has had a long and successful career of over twenty years, he has never before ventured across the Atlantic to the UK, so his XOYO set is sure to be a historic moment.

Fans of classic Chicago house and ghetto house should stay tuned for more European dates with a show already announced in France on March 19 and more dates to come.
