Ghetto-house titan DJ Slugo drops retrospective LP ‘The Archive’
Revered producer, DJ and forefather of Chicago’s ghetto-house scene has released a new album. The six-track collection is a selection of unreleased productions that have been plucked straight from the vaults and presented for your listening pleasure. Featuring contributions from ghetto-house royalty DJ Deeon, DJ Thadz, Jovan, Double AC and DJ PJ, this is an essential snapshot of the genesis of a highly influential genre.

Slugo is a pioneer of the Chicago ghetto-house sound, a raw and filthy variant of house music that features jackin’ rhythms, obscene samples and relentless tempos of 140+ BPM.
Working alongside contemporaries DJ Deeon, DJ Funk, Traxmen and DJ Chip, the producer released a series of genre-defining cuts in the 90s on the seminal imprint Dance Mania.
