MN2S welcomes Italian-born producer Madteo to the booking agency DJ roster.

Now based in Queens, New York, Madteo is rapidly making waves for his unique electronic stylings.

His 2012 album Noi No was a turning point. Released on Finland’s Sahko Recordings, the album was praised by numerous outlets as a deep, complex and rewarding listening experience, unhampered by conventions of genre or sound.

Sahko Recordings aside, Madteo has also released music on many other prestigious and underground labels including Latency, Morphine Records, Wania, Meaksuma, Lanquid Music and Est. ‘83 Records.

After working with all these labels, Madteo decided to start one of his own: M.A.D.T.E.O. Records. His first release on the imprint came out this year to much acclaim. A three track 12” called ‘Voractious Culturilizer Disco Mix’, the record is both a future dance floor classic and a demonstration of Madteo’s eccentric experimentalism at the same time.

Madteo draws influences from a broad variety of genres and eras. From the Golden Age of hip-hop to R&B, house and techno. These influences are just as evident in his DJ work as they are in his productions. Madteo is known for his infamously tricky blends on the decks, and his truly eclectic track selections.
