MN2S are pleased to announce the latest signing to our DJ roster: veteran house DJ Hector Romero.
Hector is a close associate of Def Mix Music, a label that also happens to be a long-standing client of MN2S Label Services, and we’re more than excited to be bringing him over to our DJ roster.
Hector Romero is a fixture of New York’s legendary nightlife scene, remaining at the pinnacle of the industry over an impressive four-decade career. Born in The Bronx, Hector’s career has seen him play at iconic venues likes Limelight, Palladium, The Roxy and Save The Robots. As one of New York City’s premiere ambassadors of house, he brings his uniquely soulful vibrations to clubs and venues across the globe.
With more than 30 years of experience, this career DJ is now redirecting his musical know-how and impeccable taste into the world of remix and production. Romero has put together several successful compilations including King Street’s “Soulful House Journey” and more recently Nervous Record’s “Weaving Genres”, an instant classic that features one of Romero’s own productions. A music obsessive at heart, Hector has manned the turntables for an array of influential radio shows, including the position of resident DJ at Def Mix Radio, a dedicated monthly podcast for iTunes and regular appearances as a guest on Paris’ FG radio, subbing for David Morales while holding down a coveted monthly spot on Italy’s Radio 105.
In addition to his extensive experience behind the decks, Hector’s long-standing position as A&R executive at Def Mix Music and Saw Recordings has given him the opportunity to work alongside the legendary Frankie Knuckles and David Morales. Although New York remains his home, Hector can be found lighting up dance floors as far afield as Italy, Greece, Spain and Japan.
