LGEX Records is not your average new label. Born from years behind the decks and in the booths of legendary clubs, it reflects a precise, deeply personal vision of electronic music’s future.
Founded by a Hermann K, a DJ with roots in France’s nightlife and a residency in Geneva, LGEX is a label built with care before a single track dropped. In this Q&A, the founder talks passion, process and the balance between artistry and dancefloor demands. With MN2S Label Services now supporting their rollout, LGEX is poised to make a distinctive mark, fusing forward-facing soundscapes with club-ready precision.
How did you get into music originally?
I started in 2013 as a mixer in a club in the south of France called La Villa Rouge. It was a really famous club, which allowed me to see how the big names work. I couldn’t stop after that, then I found a residency in Geneva until last March. I’ve always been passionate about music for as long as I can remember, and I think that opening a label is the logical next step in my career.
How long has your label been in operation?
I’ve been working on it for a year, creating the site and choosing the label’s first releases. All this work is offline, nothing has been published. I wanted to start directly with a qualified structure before posting anything.
Tell us about your first release – what was special about that one?
The first releases are a little different from what is currently being done, it is both a listening piece and a piece that can be played in a set, a lot of tracks today prioritize the dancefloor and forget a little about the music in the tracks, I would like to find that with LGEX.
Tell us about the latest record you’ve released.
The latest releases are more dancefloor-focused, but keep the LGEX vision to be consistent with the news of the platforms.
Could you sum up your label’s philosophy and creative vision?
We are old friends, passionate about music, reunited since meeting when we were younger. The label represents the fusion of styles, exploring the universe of electronic music through futuristic soundscapes. Our vision is to go beyond the boundaries of genres to create a space where techno freely dialogues with other electronic influences, while maintaining a unique aesthetic. Each track is an invitation to a journey, where human emotions are found in the captivating elements of science fiction. Through our artists and our productions, we seek to awaken the imagination and the depth of feelings. It is a community of dreamers and creators committed to the future of electronic music.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of setting up their own imprint?
Know your market, define a strong identity and value proposition, build a vision, focus on quality and communication, manage your budget carefully, start small but solid, seek support, and be ready to evolve.
What are your plans for the rest of the year and beyond?
Take advantage of my break from the clubs to invest as much as possible in this project.

The fact that you are an established company reassures me, since this project is new for me, as I mentioned above the fact of being well surrounded is important to me, I like working with qualified people.
